The Allen-Bradley 1756-L62 is a high-performance ControlLogix5562 programmable automation controller (PAC) engineered to handle large-scale, memory-intensive industrial automation environments, featuring an upgraded 4 Megabytes of volatile internal user memory alongside 478 Kilobytes of nonvolatile I/O memory that enables the simultaneous execution of complex discrete logic, advanced process batching, and highly synchronized multi-axis motion control loops, while leveraging a modular, slot-independent 1756 backplane architecture that relies on separate communication bridge modules (such as EtherNet/IP or ControlNet) for network connectivity rather than onboard ports, utilizing an integrated front-facing RS-232 serial port for direct programming or peripheral ASCII interfacing, maintaining volatile code retention during power outages via a field-replaceable 1756-BA1 or 1756-BA2 lithium battery assembly, and fully supporting the Studio 5000 Logix Designer or legacy RSLogix 5000 programming platforms to deliver robust, scalable control for demanding infrastructure and factory applications.
